Hi, my name's Shane and I'm new to the forums and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm active duty Air Force stationed in Alaska. Anyone else here from the great state of Alaska?
I've ordered a new KMX Cobra and some accessories from a new start-up in Florida called trikeshoppe.com and am eagerly waiting for it to arrive. Even though its snow and cold right now, I'll be taking the bike on a deployment in the next couple of months, so I hope to be riding ALOT while gone and hope ride alot more next year. I'll be using the trike daily while home to commute back and forth to work (~3-5 miles) each day and am also interested in possibly purchasing trikes for the rest of my family this spring (wife, son-12, daughter-9) to get us out on the Anchorage trails, although there are ALOT more mountain bike trails than walk/bike/ride trails. Still, the thought of the trike intrigues me. I have only seen one other person riding a trike here, and he commutes daily as well.

Welcome Shane! Thank you for your service to this country. I think
you will love your cobra. It should handle the ruggedness of Alaska
well. Welcome to the board.

Welcome Shane! I know of a Leitra velomobile rider in Anchorage, named Andy. Some picks of his ride can be found here:
