Hi Peabob,
Welcome back and Festive Greetings from the other side of the pond.
Weather over here has been reasonable for the time of year and great fun in the ice on a trike. Would be even better if the metal boxes on four wheels stayed at home or showed control while in use. Still since it is Christmas should be generous to them all while they fight for a place to park.
Hope next year brings you and all who read this an improvement in health and a little more wealth.

Welcome back, Paul. Have a good christmas and good health to you and yours.

Tis a wee bit chilly here, daytime just above freezing, night time between -2 and -6C. No snow in west Cork, just ice as it rained the other night but has been cloud free since. Ah shure, tis mid-winter and the days are getting longer.

Hello, Peabob, and welcome back!

And welcome back to me, too!  We did the MS-150 at the beginning of October -- and that was that.  Shameful.

Now, after far too long on pain killers, in doctors' offices, and just plain sacked out, Nina and I are preparing to depart for an end-of-year visit with daughter and granddaughters in Virginia Beach.  Guess what? We're taking the trikes!  We hope to do some riding with the family in their own neighborhood, and we have planned for years on some day riding the Virginia Beach Boardwalk into town.  I think the weather is going to hold, so -- why not?  This could be our time.

If we succeed in our goals, the beginning of the 2010 riding season will be the last week of 2009.  Nothing like getting a nice early start.

Belated holiday wishes to everybody, and we'll be in touch soon.

Well i thought i could waltz right back in to the forum and pick it up again.  I have had more highs and lows this year than i can handle or think i can handle.  You all remember that i was made a grandfather for the first time in January of 09.  That was the best... then the worst was the monday before Thanksgiving.  11/23/09.. My only son Aaron was killed by a drunk driver on his way to work at 7:15 am.  I am totally devastated.  They of course arrested the man who had a .425 blood alcohol level and charged him with second degree murder and operation under the influence causing death.  My grandson was only 10 months old when he lost his father.  It just aint right.  So I will not be posting any good news for a while but will check back when i can.  Miss talking with you guys. Be safe and watch your backs.  all the best your pal Peabob

Paul, what can one say at a time like this?
Reading through you posts over the years life has not been good to you and the trials and tribulations you have endured and overcome would have devastated most of us.
To then loose your son to a drink driver just before Thanksgiving must be very hard to come to terms with. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time. If talking about it on this forum would help I feel sure that others will do their best to support and encourage you. If you prefer not to air the matter we will understand.
Just remember, come what may, we are all here to support each other through thick and thin.
Some times silence is good, other times a joke is better, solitude can clear the mind or company help put things out of the front of the train of thought for a while. We feel for you buddy and you grandson, just try and make life memorable for him in his formative years.

Thinking of you and yours.

To all my friends here.  Thanks so much for all the support.  I am making it through this dismal winter.  I am longing to get back on the trike and ride some miles.  I miss all my friends here and hope to check back regularly.  The man accused of doing this to my family goes to trial in April of 2010.  I will have more news then.  I hope to beging riding again next month in March.  I will check in and start a new topic since i will be starting over again with the weight loss.  That blog hit a high number of views.  thanks to everyone and god bless. Peabob

So glad you will be back.  I will also be trying to remove some of the extra insulation I have added on.  So glad you wrote in.
